You can harvest all the water you need to water your garden.

Waterbutts

The back of the house with water butts connected to the down pipes for watering the garden/ washing the car. etc

The connection between the down pipe and has to be at the right angle, this is easy to do as long as you have a hacksaw and a drill. You don't need a wide drill bit for the connecting pipe just drill lots of small holes and push the pipe through when there's space. Ok,  I'm a bodger!
