On April 13th 2006 our Solar PV was finally installed. Chelsfield Solar arrived at 7.45am with 5 installers. They had a few difficulties with the tiles on the roof and broke quite a few. However this was to be expected as the tiles are old and snap like biscuit. Luckily the roofers had left plenty of tiles so that the broken ones could be replaced relatively easily. Fixings on the joists
The bolt is secured and mastic and lead provides a waterproof seal.
Checking the frame is level
Vertical sections are added to the frame

The supporting framework is in place and so is the DC cable
The PV arrays are fitted to the frame
More arrays are positioned.
The last array is fixed into position
The 16 panel array is now in position and the last of the broken tiles are replaced. |
